Security Controls Assessor / ISSO (Cybersecurity & Compliance)

Location: Hybrid work in Alexandria, Virginia, across the Mid-Atlantic Region, working on and off the client site. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Conduct security control assessments for federal human capital technology and compliance programs.
• Validate security controls, assess system security, and support authorization to operate (ATO) processes.
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, Section 508, and federal data privacy mandates.
• Coordinate stakeholders and deliver technical and functional assessment artifacts.
• Support digital transformation, process automation, analytics, and integration of IT systems and workforce planning tools.
• Contribute to performance-based service delivery and SLA-driven mission support.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT.
• At least 5 years of ISSO experience.
• Experience with RMF and NIST.
• Analytical thinking and strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools; experience with Microsoft Office and related business tools.
