TL;DR
Recovery Support Coordinator (Behavioral Health): Coordinating peer- and family-led recovery support, member advocacy, community partnerships, trainings, and wellness needs assessments with an accent on lived-experience support, resiliency, and community-based care. Focus on connecting members with health and social services, facilitating cross-organization collaboration, identifying service gaps, and responding appropriately to complex member needs and safety risks.

Location: Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania; contractually required to work on-site at the Blair County office, with regular travel to community locations and member meetings.

Salary: $41,505–$62,255 annual base salary, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and other permitted factors.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary liaison among members, families, providers, peer-run organizations, and community partners.
  • Coordinate peer, family, and youth-guided recovery initiatives and expand the use of peer specialists.
  • Conduct member, provider, and stakeholder trainings, presentations, orientations, forums, and community events.
  • Facilitate meetings and committees, ensuring member, peer, and family participation and representation.
  • Assess social determinants and whole-health needs, connect members with health and community supports, and monitor improvement strategies.
  • Advocate for members, identify service gaps, provide peer support when applicable, document interactions, and respond to crisis or safety risks.

Requirements

  • Must be a self-identified person in recovery with current or former use of mental health or substance use services, or a parent/caregiver of a child who has received relevant services.
  • At least 2 years of lived recovery experience, parent/caregiver experience, or work as a peer support specialist.
  • Required state peer-support certification, such as CPRS, CPS, CPSS, CRPS, PRSS, or CFSS; national peer-support credential required within one year of hire.
  • Valid in-state driver's license, a vehicle in good working condition, and ability to travel regularly within the community.
  • Knowledge of local services, resiliency and recovery principles, wellness recovery action plans, wraparound processes, and community-based support organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal, analytical, decision-making, and documentation skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree.
  • CPRS, CPS, CPSS, CRPS, PRSS, Peer Specialist, or NCPS certification.
