Early Education Specialist

Location: Richmond, VA, USA; hybrid work across office, remote, and field settings within the service delivery area.

Pay rate: $22.75–$24.20 per hour.

What you will do

• Plan and implement efforts to connect refugee children with Head Start, pre-kindergarten, childcare, daycare, afterschool, VPI, and other early education opportunities.
• Connect families with early childhood education, childcare, parenting, and child-support resources.
• Provide individualized case management, referrals, service plans, and participant support for students and families.
• Support parents and caregivers in advocating for children with special needs and accessing assessment and special education services.
• Maintain case documentation and enter program data in ETO and other required systems.
• Monitor service delivery, quality standards, program evaluation, and internal and external reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant experience in positive childhood development, social-emotional development, youth academic support, or school-based work; two years preferred.
• Experience supporting recently arrived immigrant children, parents, or families is strongly preferred.
• Strong program planning, relationship-building, diplomacy, networking, problem-solving, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required. Proficiency in languages spoken by client groups is desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, digital tools, and accurate data entry; valid driver’s license and access to an insured personal vehicle.
