Industrial Engineering Specialist

What you will do

• Lead DMAIC projects from chartering and baseline analysis through root-cause verification, solution pilots, control plans, and sustainment audits.
• Develop and maintain engineered labor standards and incentive plans aligned with safe work methods and ergonomic practices.
• Conduct macro and micro slotting studies using velocity, adjacency, cube utilization, and ergonomics data.
• Design minor layout changes and perform simulation or capacity modeling for peak operating scenarios.
• Support AMR/GTP pilot scoping, including process selection, safety zoning, KPI definition, and ROI/payback modeling.
• Create operational dashboards, standardize KPI definitions, facilitate kaizen events, and coach supervisors, associates, and entry-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in 3PL or warehouse environments.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Advanced time study and PMTS proficiency, with statistical tools for capability and variation analysis.
• Strong skills in Excel and Power BI; experience with AutoCAD or Visio for layouts and WMS/LMS data mining.
• Basic SQL and Python skills, plus the ability to lead projects, engage stakeholders, assess risks, and track benefits.

Nice to have

• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience with slotting tools, WES/WCS interfaces, and AMR safety standards.
• Experience building ROI models and vendor evaluation scorecards.
