DevOps/Cloud/Platform Engineer

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; primarily office-based with hybrid working

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, platform services, and production environments.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automation for consistent environment provisioning.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for production systems.
• Support security, compliance, performance, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, maintain operational documentation, and promote DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, SRE, or software engineering.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; infrastructure as code; and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Linux-based systems, containers, distributed applications, and Git.
• Understanding of networking, security, identity management, cloud architecture, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and Agile collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services including ECS, Fargate, CloudFront, S3, WAF, RDS, ECR, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and VPC.
• Experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation, and TeamCity with Kotlin DSL.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, SIEM, CSPM, and identity platforms such as Entra ID, Auth0, or Okta.
• Understanding of SRE concepts including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and operational metrics.
• Experience in regulated, safety-critical software or medical device environments.
