DevOps Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Brisbane, Australia

Salary: AUD 100,000–120,000 per annum

What you will do

• Maintain, patch, and optimize multi-environment AWS and/or GCP infrastructure for reliability, uptime, and cost efficiency.
• Manage cloud networking, including routing, firewalls, DNS, subnets, VPN tunnels, and redundant connections.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, reusable pipeline templates, and infrastructure blueprints with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments, including EKS or GKE.
• Improve observability, metrics, alerting, incident response, and business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks.
• Partner with software engineering teams to provide DevOps guidance, documentation, runbooks, and self-service tooling.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in a DevOps, SysOps, or CloudOps environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience automating operations with Python or Bash.
• Understanding of modern CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite, or Bamboo.
• Strong networking, troubleshooting, communication, and incident-response skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical industry experience.
