TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Azure): Building, automating, and scaling secure Azure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for the SiteDocs SaaS platform with an accent on reliability, resilience, and operational automation. Focus on designing Terraform-managed environments, resolving production incidents, and providing APAC follow-the-sun support for a multi-region platform.
Location: Australia; remote work with APAC time-zone operational coverage and support for Australian data centre infrastructure during local business hours

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Build and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, capacity, and security, responding to alerts before customers are affected.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement reliability improvements.
- Provide APAC on-call coverage and participate in the follow-the-sun incident response rotation.
- Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and security teams across time zones to design scalable systems and document operational procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, IT infrastructure, or cloud operations.
- 3+ years in a dedicated DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code practices, and CI/CD automation.
- Working knowledge of Git, system architecture, scalability, resilience, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Availability to provide operational coverage during APAC time zones and Australian local business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure networking, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, SQL databases, or Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience supporting multi-region SaaS platforms and data centre infrastructure.
