What you will do
- Manage independent engineering advisory task orders, staffing, schedules, quality controls, deliverables, and client coordination.
- Lead technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities for large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
- Review project documentation, data rooms, technical and commercial interfaces, assumptions, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Support construction monitoring, EPC oversight, conditions precedent validation, draw package checks, disbursement readiness, and completion certification.
- Coordinate engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.
- Prepare traceable, technically defensible reports, status updates, issue escalations, and decision-support materials for DOE and lender stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States; remote work is limited to the USA and includes on-site meetings and project-site work.
- 15+ years of experience in energy infrastructure, engineering advisory, project finance, program management, or independent engineering.
- 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, client delivery, and senior stakeholder engagement for federal, lender, or owner-side programs.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical field.
- Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, data room review, information request tracking, report writing, Excel-based analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong technical judgment, analytical rigor, documentation discipline, issue escalation, quality management, and schedule management skills.
Nice to have
- PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or other relevant discipline-specific credentials.
- Experience across oil and gas, power, utilities, energy storage, transmission, grid modernization, or related infrastructure.
