TL;DR
Quality Assurance Manager (Energy Infrastructure): Establishing QA/QC governance, review protocols, document controls, and certification package integrity for independent engineering advisory services supporting large-scale U.S. energy infrastructure projects with an accent on technical due diligence, risk assessment, and lender-ready reporting. Focus on reviewing project evidence, tracking nonconformances and corrective actions, validating assumptions, and coordinating engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, and environmental stakeholders.

Location: Remote within the United States, with on-site meetings and project-site work expected; Washington, DC and nationwide CONUS project support.

What you will do

  • Establish and enforce QA/QC review protocols, document controls, configuration management procedures, and certification package requirements.
  • Support technical due diligence, credit evaluation, construction monitoring, commissioning, and operational lifecycle oversight for energy infrastructure projects.
  • Review project documentation, technical and commercial interfaces, assumptions, risks, mitigations, conditions precedent, and disbursement readiness.
  • Prepare QA plans, peer review logs, quality checklists, corrective actions, and technically defensible reports for DOE and lender stakeholders.
  • Track nonconformances, information requests, issue closure, data-room findings, completion certification, and draw-package checks.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Knowledge of independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, QA governance, document control, report quality, and compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Must be able to work remotely within the United States and attend on-site meetings or project-site activities as required.

Nice to have

  • PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP certification.
