Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Part D pharmacy forecasting models for Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan lines of business.
• Support financial planning, risk assessment, and comprehensive trend analytics for the evolving Part D benefit.
• Develop and implement data-flow processes and controls to maintain data integrity.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve data anomalies.
• Analyze complex and variable factors to recommend effective courses of action with minimal supervision.
• Provide actionable insights and functional strategy guidance to executives and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• FSA or ASA, plus a relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
• MAAA designation.
• Experience across more than two actuarial functions, such as modeling, pricing, reporting and analysis, reserving, or trending.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively in written and oral form.
• Ability to work remotely nationwide within the United States and maintain a dedicated workspace protecting member PHI/HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• Healthcare actuarial experience.
• Experience with SAS, SQL, Snowflake, or similar analytics, database, or reporting tools.
• Experience with claims trend analysis, forecasting, business intelligence, or financial analysis in healthcare or managed care.
• Experience documenting actuarial analyses and communications according to applicable actuarial standards, including ASOP 41.
