Clinical Pharmacist

Location: Flex/hybrid schedule with three days per week in the Richardson, TX; Albuquerque, NM; Chicago, IL; or Helena, MT headquarters offices and up to two days working from home. Core business hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, Monday–Friday.

Base pay range: $102,000–$184,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Conduct clinical reviews to optimize drug therapy for health plan members across medical and pharmacy benefit channels.
• Use member and client benefit design knowledge to make individual- and population-level drug therapy recommendations.
• Administer and manage utilization, formulary, specialty pharmacy, and medication therapy management programs.
• Analyze medication use, costs, and clinical outcomes to support quality improvement and alternative drug therapy decisions.
• Develop innovative clinical programs and medication utilization evaluations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advise plan members and providers and improve health outcomes.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist in a state of operation: NM, IL, TX, or MT.
• Drug information skills and knowledge of practice guidelines, pharmacoeconomics, quality improvement, and medication use evaluation principles.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and relational database software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues professionally.
• Ability to remain at a workstation and perform computer entry for extended periods.
• Ability to work the required hybrid schedule and CST business hours.

Nice to have

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree, PharmD.
• Three years of pharmacy practice experience, additional certifications, or residency experience.
• Managed care, Pharmacy Benefit Management, Medication Therapy Management, or Medication Action Plan experience.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmacy, government programs, utilization management, controlled substance initiatives, or pharmacy informatics.
• Experience developing Medication Utilization Evaluations and supporting high-dollar cost savings initiatives.
