Pre-ETS Instructor (Education)

Location: Onsite daily in Essex County, New York, United States; instructors follow the student school calendar for 180–185 workdays.

Compensation: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver direct instruction in communication, life skills, technology, problem solving, teamwork, professionalism, and other employability skills.
• Assess each student’s strengths, interests, abilities, and development needs, then establish individualized goals and outcomes.
• Support students during classroom learning and work experiences, including attendance tracking and progress assessment.
• Help students build portfolios with certificates, recommendations, and evidence of acquired skills.
• Teach students how to use public or private transportation and communicate absences or tardiness.
• Provide employers with disability-awareness information and supervision strategies; maintain complete student records and communicate with consultants.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite every day in Essex County, New York.
• Ability to instruct students in communication, life skills, job search, resume writing, interviewing, financial management, self-advocacy, and professionalism.
• Ability to assess student progress and maintain accurate attendance and student files.
• Availability to follow the school calendar for 180–185 workdays.
