Lead Business Consultant - M&A Integration

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid FLEX schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week

Base pay: $92,700–$167,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end integration, separation, divestiture, carve-out, partnership, and vendor initiatives from due diligence through post-transition activities.
• Develop integration strategies, roadmaps, governance structures, operating models, program plans, and execution plans.
• Coordinate business leaders, executives, functional teams, acquired organizations, external partners, and vendors throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Drive organizational readiness, Day 1 readiness, TSA management, Hypercare, Books & Records, change adoption, and issue resolution.
• Develop KPIs, track synergies and benefits, evaluate post-integration performance, and support value realization.
• Improve integration methodologies, reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in project management, business analysis, process improvement, finance, operations, strategic planning, or healthcare.
• At least 4 years of experience leading large, complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams and junior resources in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to influence senior and executive leaders, align multiple business functions, and coordinate stakeholders without direct authority.
• Knowledge of integration management, governance, organizational change, operational readiness, implementation, continuous improvement, strategic planning, and financial information.
• Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-resolution skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration, finance, operations, organizational change, or a related discipline.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, separations, carve-outs, partnerships, vendor integrations, or enterprise transformation.
• Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, enterprise transformation, or integration management.
• Experience with KPI development, value realization, benefits tracking, synergy tracking, or operational performance measurement.
• Health insurance or healthcare industry experience and organizational change leadership.
