Founding Product Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA; candidates in Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY may also be considered. Remote-only candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 USD annually

hirify.global is a well-funded, early-stage fintech startup building a collaborative financial product for consumers.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver features, fixes, and improvements across the core product, marketing site, and internal tools.
• Own major product areas, such as debit card functionality and internal risk assessment tooling, from concept through launch.
• Work with the founder, lead engineer, and designer to architect and implement product solutions.
• Build and integrate APIs across React, TypeScript, Go, and PostgreSQL.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and help scale the product for growing consumer demand.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and React, plus backend development experience with Go.
• Experience shipping and maintaining features for B2C or consumer-facing products.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Docker for infrastructure and deployment.
• Experience building and integrating REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup with broad ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI coding assistants and prototyping tools.
• Background in fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Familiarity with Slack, Linear, GitHub, and Figma.
