Founding Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA, United States; candidates must be available to work in person.

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 USD annually

hirify.global is a seed-stage AI data infrastructure startup building a people-data and AI agent platform.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate core infrastructure for APIs, LLM-powered workflows, scraping systems, and large-scale knowledge graph architecture.
• Architect and maintain production-grade systems handling millions of API requests across cloud and Linux server environments.
• Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Own projects end-to-end, from ambiguous problem definition through deployment and iteration.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO and CTO on technical decisions, roadmap priorities, and foundational architecture.
• Contribute to developer documentation, technical tutorials, internal tooling, and experimental platform builds.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience shipping software to production.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP and Linux server environments.
• Strong instincts for performance, reliability, and cost-efficient system design.
• High agency, ownership, and the ability to work with limited direction in an ambiguous environment.
• On-site availability in San Francisco and ability to work in person are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, knowledge graphs, or identity resolution systems.
• Founder aspirations and experience building products from 0 to 1.
