Fullstack Software Engineer (AI/Adtech)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, United States; candidates must work from the San Francisco office.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD annually, plus an early-stage equity opportunity.

What you will do

• Own technical projects from scoping and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production maintenance.
• Build and maintain scalable backend systems and production-grade REST and gRPC APIs.
• Deploy, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production services on AWS.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for analytical and transactional workloads.
• Contribute to analytics, attribution, and event-driven data pipelines supporting measurement and reporting.
• Collaborate with go-to-market and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Experience owning technical projects end to end in production environments.
• Hands-on experience building backend systems and designing or consuming production APIs.
• Strong practical AWS experience, including deployment, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python, Django and/or FastAPI, REST API design, and asynchronous patterns.
• Experience with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with analytics, attribution, adtech, event-driven data pipelines, or instrumentation.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or other column-oriented OLAP databases at scale.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, real-time data systems, Kafka, Redis Streams, or high-throughput API design.
• Experience at an early-stage startup or major technology company shipping production code.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
