Founding AI/ML Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, primarily in San Francisco, California, with regular in-person collaboration in SF

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Build and own the AI/ML intelligence layer, including recommendation systems and ranking algorithms.
• Develop and ship LLM-powered candidate-role matching features to production.
• Architect and maintain production-grade data pipelines and backend services across the stack.
• Translate product goals into production-ready features through cross-functional collaboration.
• Deliver end-to-end features with full ownership on a rapid daily shipping cadence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping end-to-end product features in production.
• Proficiency with LLM APIs and experience building LLM-powered production features.
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or ML-powered matching systems.
• Strong production experience with TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with Supabase, Prisma, database design, and Typesense or similar search and ranking infrastructure.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, in-person environment in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with Trigger.dev or comparable workflow automation tooling.
• Exceptional technical achievement, such as notable open-source contributions or standout personal projects.
