Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Willingness to work on-site or closely with client stakeholders as engagements require, travel to the Seattle area for the final interview, and attend company summits twice per year.

Salary: $140,000–$225,000 annually, depending on experience; equity and bonus offered.

What you will do

• Translate ambiguous client problems into production-ready code through discovery, implementation, and deployment.
• Build agentic workflows and applied AI pipelines using RAG, structured extraction, OCR/document AI, and agent orchestration.
• Develop lightweight front-end or app-builder-style interfaces for client-facing AI solutions.
• Create evaluation harnesses and golden datasets to validate pipeline quality before release.
• Drive engagements end-to-end while collaborating with client and internal teams.
• Help establish engineering best practices and development culture as one of the first engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production LLM or agent pipelines, including RAG, structured extraction, or agent orchestration.
• Ability to take on the technical needs of client engagements, including light frontend development.
• Practical understanding of how to validate whether an AI system solves the client's problem.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and comfort defining and solving ambiguous problems.
• Willingness to work on-site or closely with client stakeholders when required.
• Current full-time authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in both startup and enterprise environments.
• Experience in energy, real estate, utilities, climate, or related industries.
• Experience with Svelte, Vue, Angular, C++, Rust, GraphQL, WebSockets, ML frameworks, graph or vector databases, or infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and generative AI tooling ecosystems.
