AI Engineer (LLM Systems)

Location: Remote for full-time salaried employees currently residing in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada

Salary: US$160,000–US$210,000 base salary or CA$160,000–CA$210,000 base salary, plus potential equity

What you will do

• Set the technical direction and architecture standards for chatbot systems.
• Build automation for record disputes, email and callout reduction, and document validation.
• Evaluate and deploy emerging AI technologies, including voicebots and computer-use agents.
• Build and ship AI workflow automation to production.
• Partner with OpenAI to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with end-to-end ownership in an early-stage startup.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI systems using newly released models.
• Ability to make and explain architectural trade-offs beyond prototype demonstrations.
• Production experience with LLM-based systems, including evaluations, regression handling, latency, cost, and failure management.
• Strong builder mindset and ability to define specifications independently.
• Current residence in an eligible U.S. state or Ontario, Canada is required for full-time salaried employment.
