AVP, Engineering Security Operations Manager (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead a team of security engineers responsible for operating and maintaining SIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and network security technologies.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of security tools and platforms.
• Develop operational playbooks, procedures, and runbooks for incident response, threat hunting, and security tool management.
• Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and automation across security operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and IT teams to integrate security requirements into new systems and applications.
• Manage vendors, evaluate security technologies, participate in incident response, and report operational metrics to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of information security experience, including at least 5 years in security operations or engineering leadership.
• Experience across network security, endpoint security, cloud security, identity and access management, and data loss prevention.
• At least 2 years managing and optimizing SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Exabeam, or Sentinel.
• At least 2 years of experience with EDR solutions and vulnerability management platforms.
• Understanding of scripting and automation with Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP security concepts, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• CISSP, CISM, or SANS certifications.
• Financial services experience and familiarity with FINRA or SEC regulatory frameworks.
