AVP, Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based at the hirify.global office in Dallas or Chicago, United States

Base compensation: $127,000–$170,000 annually, plus discretionary annual bonus and incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to engineering projects for hirify.global, Blackstone, and portfolio companies.
• Design, develop, and maintain modern cloud-based software solutions that use data to support business insights and critical decisions.
• Build event-driven, serverless, microservice-based, and scalable applications.
• Develop, host, and support REST APIs and containerized workloads.
• Implement application logging, monitoring, and automation practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and apply testing and test-driven development throughout the software lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent related experience.
• At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Significant application development experience with Python or .NET.
• Significant experience building cloud-based solutions with Azure or AWS, including serverless FaaS workloads.
• Understanding of event-based systems, containerized workloads, application logging, monitoring, REST APIs, testing methodologies, and test-driven development.
