AI Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and implement security controls for AI-powered applications and supporting AI infrastructure.
• Develop threat models and security architecture reviews for LLMs, model APIs, training data pipelines, and AI systems.
• Build incident response capabilities for AI and machine learning environments.
• Address prompt injection, model abuse, data exfiltration, and AI supply chain risks.
• Design defenses based on practical understanding of modern AI architectures and their failure modes.

Requirements

• Work authorization: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates may apply; new H-1B petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of security engineering experience, including significant work with AI or ML systems.
• Strong understanding of LLM internals, modern AI architectures, application security, identity, cryptography, cloud security, and infrastructure controls.
• Hands-on experience designing AI application security controls, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one systems language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Publications, talks, or CTF participation in AI security.
• Experience red-teaming LLM-based products.
• Knowledge of privacy-preserving ML techniques such as differential privacy.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict data handling requirements.
• Open-source contributions to AI security tooling.
