Application Security Engineer (Fintech)

Salary: $120,000–$179,520 per year base compensation, plus a 25% annual bonus target and RSUs.

What you will do

• Architect and implement application, cloud, network, encryption, intrusion detection, and security event management solutions.
• Integrate security gates and automated controls into CI/CD pipelines and software development workflows.
• Run vulnerability management, security assessments, threat modeling, and architecture reviews.
• Manage third-party penetration tests and track remediation of identified findings.
• Lead security posture improvements, mentor engineers, and promote security-by-design practices.
• Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and AI-assisted threat hunting and testing.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience reading and writing code and implementing application security controls.
• Experience improving vulnerability management programs, including triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, and risk reporting.
• Experience integrating security into the software development lifecycle and automating secure deployments.
• Ability to conduct threat modeling, security reviews, architecture assessments, and penetration test remediation.
• Practical proficiency with AI-assisted security tooling and understanding of its strengths and limitations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not provided.
