Cybersecurity Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid position in Austin, Texas, United States; office attendance is expected, with specific days confirmed by the Hiring Manager. The role is performed in an office setting and requires 5–10% travel.

Salary: $123,700–$191,300 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain internal cybersecurity tools, automated testing scripts, and mobile security frameworks.
• Perform ethical penetration testing, reverse engineering, network interception, and hands-on security testing across mobile and Mac assets.
• Create mobile security guidelines, requirements, standards, and remediation practices for product development and enterprise deployment.
• Integrate threat modeling, architectural risk assessment, secure coding practices, and application security controls into the software development lifecycle.
• Use AI to optimize team processes and implement security solutions within internal cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with product, solution, internal application, and third-party development teams to manage security risks and define enterprise security controls.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience; master's graduates need 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Deep understanding of current AI technologies, protocols, AI development tooling, OWASP Top 10, CWE 25, and remediation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of mobile application and platform security, web application architectures, development frameworks, and web protocols.
• Strong experience with Docker and containerized deployments, plus programming experience with Node, Python, Java, or Swift.
• Excellent penetration testing, application risk assessment, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SDKs, mobile wallets, and mobile security or penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, IDA Pro, APKTool, Hopper, Fortify, Checkmarx, Kali Linux, and Wireshark.
• Master's degree or advanced degree.
• Agile development experience and familiarity with integrating secure development practices.
• Bi- or multilingual ability.
