Senior SAP Basis Engineer (SAP)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and operate complex SAP landscapes across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Administer SAP HANA databases in production and operate S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other NetWeaver systems.
• Perform performance tuning, upgrades, EHP/SP application, system conversions, system copies, and migrations to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Design and maintain SAP high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
• Manage SAP transports and Solution Manager ChaRM while partnering with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams.
• Maintain SAP platform availability, security, compliance, and operational stability.

Requirements

• U.S. work location required; the position is fully remote within the United States.
• 6+ years of experience in SAP Basis or platform engineering in large enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on production experience with SAP HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver.
• Experience with SAP cloud migrations, upgrades, system conversions, HA/DR, transport management, and Solution Manager ChaRM.
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
• Experience with SAP RISE, SAP Grow, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP, or hyperscaler-native services.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience operating regulated SAP workloads under SOX, GxP, or PCI requirements.
