Product Owner (Insurance)

Location: Colchester or York, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 2 to 3 days in the office per week

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a product vision aligned with value stream strategy.
• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into product roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Engage business stakeholders, customers, technical teams, and other value streams to align requirements, dependencies, and priorities.
• Create, refine, and prioritise the product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Work with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions and monitor product performance.
• Promote customer-centric innovation, continuous improvement, and agile practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of value stream models and their business application.
• Expertise in agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with familiarity with scaled frameworks such as SAFe.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to coach and develop others.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or insurance.
• Experience with digital channels, automation, or insurance policy administration software.
