Facilities & Material Handling Engineer I-V

Location: Remote within the United States, with Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as the preferred location. Candidates within 50 miles of a hirify.global campus must work on-site at a hirify.global location several times per week; the position is otherwise hybrid. Some travel is required. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories are excluded.

Salary: $3,891.60–$13,571.58 per month in the USA, with ranges varying by state and locality.

What you will do

• Analyze operational and engineering performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support the development and design of facilities, buildings, offices, material handling systems, and sortation equipment.
• Develop AutoCAD conveyor layouts and support construction projects.
• Prepare RFQs, manage RFI responses, and perform detailed bid evaluations.
• Review construction drawings for compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
• Prepare expenditure proposals, progress reports, meeting minutes, and technical presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical or quantitative field.
• Relevant disciplines include mechanical or civil engineering, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field.
• Software skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Ability to analyze information, make recommendations, communicate with management, and present technical findings.
• Strong time management, organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Background in AutoCAD and material handling or conveyor design.
