Quality & Compliance Specialist (Customs)

Location: Hybrid position in Tonawanda, New York, United States. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM EST.

Pay: $21.14–$29.59 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Review customs entries and shipment documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Verify tariff classifications and correct entry discrepancies using approved databases, SOPs, tariff resources, and government websites.
• Audit shipments processed through automated systems and investigate ABI errors and Census warnings to secure CBP acceptance.
• Collect and maintain customs compliance documentation and contact customers about missing or incomplete information.
• Ensure shipments subject to Other Government Agency requirements follow applicable regulations and company policies.
• Provide feedback, coaching referrals, training, and process-improvement support to internal teams and employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of business or customer service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
