What you will do

• Prepare, submit, review, and verify import and export customs declarations and supporting documents.
• Classify goods using Harmonized System tariff codes and assess customs values, duties, and taxes.
• Coordinate customs clearance with logistics, operations, sales, carriers, vendors, customers, and external customs brokers.
• Track shipment data, clearance status, documentation discrepancies, permits, licenses, and compliance issues.
• Resolve classification, tariff, documentation, and shipment-data issues, escalating complex cases when needed.
• Support process improvements, reporting, training, and the standardization of customs procedures.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in customs coordination, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Basic understanding of trade compliance, customs regulations, and Harmonized System tariff codes.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation, customs procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Basic knowledge of customs clearance software and logistics management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Certification in customs brokerage, logistics, or freight forwarding.
