Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Location: Fully remote from Spain only

What you will do

• Develop and maintain features across OneKS, CAPONE, and the OpenNebula CSI integration.
• Operate and troubleshoot production-grade Kubernetes and RKE2 clusters, including networking, storage, upgrades, and multi-layer infrastructure issues.
• Develop Kubernetes controllers, operators, and Cluster API integrations using Go.
• Evaluate and integrate Kubernetes-based solutions, including AI platforms and workloads.
• Automate cluster lifecycle management and platform integrations with Helm, Cluster API, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Write maintainable code, tests, and technical documentation while collaborating across the OpenNebula stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production or similarly complex environments.
• Professional Go development experience, preferably including Kubernetes controllers or operators.
• Experience with Kubernetes lifecycle management, Helm, Cluster API, Linux, containers, networking, and storage.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, virtualization, observability tools, CSI, and Kubernetes cloud-provider integrations.
• Intermediate to Advanced English, B2 or higher, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with RKE2, Ruby, AI workloads on Kubernetes, or the NVIDIA Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Experience with KVM/QEMU, Prometheus, and adjacent OpenNebula components.
