Carbon Analyst (Sustainability)

Location: Remote from anywhere in the Philippines

A growing sustainability consultancy working directly with an Australian team on carbon and environmental reporting projects.

What you will do

• Collect, review, organise and verify energy, gas, fuel and utility data from client sites.
• Analyse invoices, consumption data and spreadsheets, then calculate Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions.
• Prepare carbon footprints, Carbon Reduction Plans, sustainability reports and client presentation materials.
• Maintain emissions databases, audit trails, structured project files and supporting documentation.
• Research sustainability legislation, compliance requirements and regulatory updates.
• Support proposal preparation, process improvement and AI-assisted reporting workflow automation.

Requirements

• Experience with sustainability, ESG or environmental reporting and carbon calculations.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and utility invoices.
• Strong written English and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to identify missing or inconsistent data and maintain reliable documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with the GHG Protocol, Scope 1–3 emissions and Carbon Reduction Plans.
• Knowledge of UK sustainability legislation, SECR, PPN 06/21, ISO 14064 or ISO 14001.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve reporting workflows.
