R&D Scientist - AMEA Region (Cleaning Products)

Location: Aldo Bonzi, Argentina; hybrid with a minimum of two days per week at the lab

What you will do

• Lead R&D projects from concept through commercialization for cleaning products and utensils across the AMEA region, with a focus on Australia and New Zealand.
• Translate consumer needs into technical product specifications, processing standards, testing plans, and product claim support.
• Design and execute laboratory and pilot-scale experiments, develop test methods, analyze data, and make technical recommendations.
• Lead technical risk assessments, mitigation plans, manufacturing trials, technology partner activities, and product launches.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, QA, Regulatory, suppliers, external manufacturers, and global cross-functional teams to support compliance, start-ups, process improvements, and cost savings.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge management while tracking competitive products, consumer needs, and industry technology trends.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in multinational CPG companies, preferably in home cleaning products, cleaning utensils, cosmetics, food, wipes, or adjacent FMCG categories.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
• Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience designing, executing, and interpreting laboratory and pilot-scale experiments for product and process development.
• Experience with new product development, product upgrades, cost-saving initiatives, project management, Design of Experiments, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools such as JMP or Minitab.
• Comfort participating in meetings outside standard business hours once or twice per week to collaborate with stakeholders in Australia, China, and other Asia-Pacific locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with predictive modeling, data science, AI-enabled product development tools, or digital R&D capabilities.
• Willingness to travel to external manufacturers, primarily in the Asia-Pacific region, approximately one to two times per year.
