Commercial Property & Transactions Paralegal

Location: Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines; 100% remote under an Independent Contractor Agreement; working hours follow AU business hours.

Salary: PHP 55,000 per month; final amount depends on the client’s discretion, skills, and experience.

An established Australian commercial law practice supporting businesses, property owners, investors, buyers, and sellers with commercial property transactions, business sales and acquisitions, leasing, and related corporate matters.

What you will do

• Prepare and manage contracts, special conditions, settlement directions, transfer documents, and completion materials for commercial property transactions.
• Prepare business sale and purchase contracts, disclosure documents, schedules, annexures, and ancillary transaction documents.
• Coordinate legal due diligence and organise financial, property, corporate, employment, licensing, leasing, and commercial contract information.
• Track transaction deadlines, outstanding requirements, conditions precedent, settlement checklists, and electronic settlement documents.
• Maintain legal matter files, document version control, task lists, key-date calendars, correspondence records, and transaction summaries.
• Draft correspondence, proofread legal documents, assist with invoices and cost disclosures, and improve precedents, checklists, and workflows under solicitor instructions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Secretary, or in a similar transactional legal support role.
• Experience with commercial property, conveyancing, commercial, corporate, leasing, or business-sale matters.
• Experience supporting Australian lawyers or legal practices, or working in Australian, UK, New Zealand, or other common-law legal environments.
• Strong legal document preparation, document management, written and spoken English, and professional client correspondence skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including formatting, styles, tracked changes, document comparison, tables, headers and footers, and PDF conversion.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, confidentiality, independent working ability, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines remotely.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe Sign or similar e-signature platforms, PEXA, legal practice management software, legal document management systems, or cloud-based legal workflow platforms.
• Familiarity with Australian property searches, Australian conveyancing processes, and electronic settlements.
