SDET (AWS)

Location: Must be local to the Reston, Virginia area for weekly collaboration meetings; final interview is onsite.

What you will do

• Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria, then prepare automated in-sprint tests for web/UI, web services, and mobile applications.
• Develop, maintain, and update automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, BDD practices, and SoapUI.
• Prepare test plans and cases, execute scheduled tests, review test data, and investigate potential code defects.
• Schedule Jenkins jobs and run automated regression and smoke test suites in CI/CD pipelines.
• Report defects in Jira and communicate status, risks, and concerns to management.
• Coordinate with customers and project groups to resolve issues, create test data, and support required system changes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of SDET experience, including at least 5 years in automated software testing and core framework development.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Java, AWS cloud testing, S3, Redshift, and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience designing automation framework architecture and applying object-oriented design principles.
• Strong programming experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with web service automation using SoapUI and relational databases such as MS SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle.
• Healthcare insurance industry experience and knowledge of Agile and Waterfall SDLC models.
