Lead Engineer Automation Quality (Java)

Location: Remote - Nationwide within the United States. Applicants must already be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $105,700–$149,275 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated test strategies and frameworks.
• Lead and mentor test and quality automation engineers, providing direction and prioritization.
• Define and enforce test automation and quality assurance standards and best practices.
• Assess automation tools and collaborate with stakeholders to establish automation goals.
• Partner with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and report automation KPIs.
• Develop training materials, support continuous improvement and AI innovation, and perform manual testing when needed.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of testing experience, including 4–5 years of automation testing experience or equivalent automation training.
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring test automation teams.
• Expert-level Java proficiency and strong knowledge of core Java programming concepts.
• Extensive experience with Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG, including API automation with Karate and UI automation with Selenium.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
