Senior Engineer, Exchange & Microsoft 365 Platforms

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, Washington; office attendance at hirify.global corporate headquarters is required at least 4 days per week.

What you will do

• Own the architecture, administration, and automation of Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms, with a focus on Exchange Online messaging infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and operate Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments, including mail flow, transport rules, connectors, and message routing.
• Build scalable automation with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure Automation Runbooks, Power Automate, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Administer Microsoft 365 workloads, licensing, security, compliance, DLP, retention policies, Teams, and SharePoint/OneDrive.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, Active Directory, Entra ID synchronization, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, certificates, and authentication.
• Provide technical leadership, documentation, mentoring, operational monitoring, security reviews, and on-call support for messaging and collaboration services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 services, including deep hands-on expertise with Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange.
• Expertise in Exchange administration, mail flow, transport rules, Exchange Online Protection, and hybrid coexistence.
• Experience administering Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure subscriptions and Automation accounts, and Azure administrator roles.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID synchronization, O365 security and compliance, DLP, and retention policies.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph automation, plus working knowledge of SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Understanding of load balancers, certificates, and authentication protocols for hybrid messaging infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Volume Licensing, Enterprise Agreements, and Reservations.
• Experience with Proofpoint or another secure email gateway.
• Experience with hybrid Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to ServiceNow or Jira for change management and incident workflows.
