Java Developer (AWS)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States (hybrid)

Salary: $60–$62 per hour

What you will do

• Analyze legacy C code, business logic, and system dependencies.
• Migrate calculation engines and business rules from C to Java while preserving functional equivalence.
• Integrate Java components into account balance service architecture and downstream systems.
• Design and implement a scalable DynamoDB balance-caching framework, including data models, partitioning, refresh, invalidation, and synchronization.
• Deploy and support containerized applications on AWS ECS and troubleshoot performance, integration, and functional issues.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, technical designs, code reviews, Agile planning, and delivery documentation.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong application development experience with Java and C.
• Advanced SQL, database design, query optimization, and data modeling skills.
• Hands-on DynamoDB design and implementation experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native applications, ECS, containerization, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, performance tuning, and optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, account management, or balance processing systems.
• Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines, AWS Lambda, AWS CloudWatch, and JUnit.
