Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Dearborn, Michigan, United States; hybrid with four days onsite each week. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $99,600–$192,900 per year, depending on salary grade, skills, experience, and job scope.

What you will do

• Develop analytics products using visualization, AI/ML, statistics, optimization, and simulation techniques.
• Design, train, fine-tune, deploy, and monitor AI models, including deep learning and LLMs.
• Build APIs, data pipelines, infrastructure, and automated workflows for production analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Owners.
• Translate business needs into analytical deliverables and software products for cost-efficiency analytics.
• Evaluate risks, communicate analytical results to business partners, and balance technical quality with delivery speed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, machine learning, artificial intelligence, mathematical programming, optimization, simulation, or statistical analysis.
• 3+ years of experience delivering analytics solutions and 3+ years working with Agile methodologies.
• Experience developing and deploying analytical models or data products in on-premises environments or Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to translate real-world business problems into analytical formulations and communicate complex topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• PhD in a quantitative field.
• Experience with LLM orchestration tools such as CrewAI, LangGraph, or Google ADK.
• Experience with hirify.global’s data ecosystem, Product Driven Operating Model, or Agile Product Development Process.
• Knowledge of OGC, compliance, litigation, regulatory activities, Manufacturing IT legacy systems, or the Manufacturing Common Data Model.
