Lead Data Scientist (Gen AI)

Location: Hybrid, with residence or relocation within a 180-mile radius of Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona required. Remote work is available most of the time, with in-office expectations.

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Develop and validate advanced deep learning models and GenAI solutions.
• Build datasets and define data collection, integration, and retention requirements for AI/ML development.
• Develop, train, validate, monitor, and update end-to-end production ML models.
• Collaborate with business areas and technical teams to scope solutions and make project decisions.
• Present technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead and mentor data scientists, interns, and technical work teams while reviewing other model development initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in an analytical or engineering field, plus 3+ years of predictive model-building experience.
• Experience with Python, deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, and fine-tuning open-source computer vision and NLP models.
• Experience developing GenAI solutions, including LLM and Agentic AI applications.
• Experience with IDEs, Linux terminal, version control, and cloud-based ML tools such as AWS SageMaker.
• Strong coding, computer science, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.
