AWS Platform Specialist

Location: 100% remote within the United States. Eligible candidates include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS platforms for mission-critical production workloads.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Design and operate Amazon EKS or ECS clusters at scale.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application workloads.
• Implement cloud-native observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Partner with application, security, and SRE teams to deliver resilient solutions and continuously improve operations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years focused on AWS in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, key management, and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions are not sponsored.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations and centralized governance.
• Familiarity with service mesh, eBPF-based observability, and zero-trust networking.
• Exposure to FinOps and cost-optimization frameworks.
• Experience operating HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP-regulated workloads.
