What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production software solutions focused on Python for analytics and risk applications.
- Design Python and database components for analytical applications using SQL and systems such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Integrate and operationalize analytical models from data science development, including Python and SAS models.
- Develop, extend, and quality-assure data preparation and ETL processes.
- Build and integrate service-oriented components such as REST APIs and contribute to software architecture.
- Collaborate with data scientists, business units, and development teams while conducting code reviews and owning technical subdomains.
Requirements
- Several years of professional software development experience with a focus on Python.
- Experience developing, operating, and evolving production software solutions.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with database-centric applications.
- Experience with data processing, ETL, and operationalizing analytical or data science solutions.
- Knowledge of SAS or the ability to quickly learn and integrate existing SAS components.
- Excellent German skills, written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Experience in analytics, risk, or financial services.
- Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes container platforms.
- Requirements engineering, MLOps, or deployment experience for analytical applications.
- PL/SQL or SAS Viya experience.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, or knowledge of modern AI and machine learning technologies.
