Senior Software Engineer (PostgreSQL/Analytics)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-quality code for cloud-based database services.
• Optimize data storage and query performance for both OLTP and OLAP workloads.
• Participate in technical planning, backlog management, and code reviews.
• Automate infrastructure and backend processes to eliminate manual work.
• Improve the scalability and reliability of PostgreSQL services.
• Mentor and empower other engineers within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, or OracleDB.
• Excellent development skills in Python.
• Experience in data engineering, including ETL pipelines and large-scale datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS and distributed systems.
• Fluency in English, verbal and written.

Nice to have

• Experience with OLAP technologies, columnar databases, or stream processing.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and cloud DBAAS production environments.
• Understanding of software and network security.
