Software Engineer, Analytics

What you will do

• Write high-quality, maintainable code and ship quality features.
• Optimize data storage and query performance for both OLTP (PostgreSQL) and OLAP workloads.
• Develop and improve scalability and reliability of PostgreSQL services.
• Automate processes to eliminate repetitive manual work.
• Participate in technical discussions, perform PR reviews, and contribute to planning and backlog management.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues; mentor and empower other engineers.

Requirements

• Excellent development skills in Python.
• 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, or OracleDB.
• Experience in data engineering, including building ETL pipelines and working with large-scale datasets.
• Strong data modeling, schema design, and query optimization knowledge.
• Knowledge of backup solutions and backup strategies.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Nice to have

• Experience with OLAP technologies, columnar databases, stream processing, or distributed computing engines.
• Infrastructure as code experience.
• Experience in cloud DBAAS production environments.
• Good understanding of security (software, networking).
• Experience in production software environments.
