Chief Enterprise Architect (Cloud)

What you will do

• Lead enterprise, solutions, cloud, platform, and systems architecture for the War Data Platform.
• Engage government stakeholders to define requirements, develop solutions, and identify best-fit services.
• Design data architecture and an integration layer for transforming, consolidating, analyzing, and sharing data from multiple sources.
• Design a federated multi-cloud architecture with standardized APIs and secure data sharing across security enclaves.
• Coordinate integration into intended systems and subsystems while ensuring alignment with the program baseline.
• Engage technology vendors, Department of War organizations, and the open-source community to identify effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, solutions architecture, requirements gathering, business process requirements engineering, and agile development.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-class architectures with requirements for reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, security, and usability.
• Experience delivering solutions across heterogeneous cloud environments and aligning standards, frameworks, and security with business and technology strategy.
• Experience with the Department of War Architecture Framework (DoWAF).
• CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or an equivalent certification.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Programming experience with Go, Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience leading architecture teams, developing strategic IT roadmaps, and presenting to senior government officials.
• Experience with data analytics, AI, machine learning model development, RPA, secure application development, software lifecycle management, and compliant cloud infrastructure.
• Additional cloud, networking, security, or infrastructure certifications such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, PCSA, CCNA, Network+, Security+, or CompTIA A+.
