Senior Software Engineer II - Backend (Fintech)

Location: Fully remote within the United States for I-9 eligible candidates. Travel is required for team or department offsites, and an in-person interview may be required.

Base salary: $145,000–$175,000 annually, with a possible discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend API features and endpoints.
• Design database schema changes supporting new product capabilities.
• Build scalable, testable, high-quality code that improves engineering efficiency.
• Work within an Agile development environment and an independent cross-functional squad.
• Contribute to the technical foundation of the private market investing platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of object-oriented software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL-based databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• At least 3 years of C# experience and 2 years of REST API development.
• Ability to design performant database schemas, including appropriate indexing.
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Cursor.

Nice to have

• ASP.NET Web API development experience.
• Familiarity with Dapper, Entity Framework, or other ORM concepts.
• Familiarity with FluentMigrator.
• Docker and Docker Compose experience.
• AWS ECS or EKS experience.
