Senior Software Engineer

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with defined in-person presence requirements

Salary: $112,300–$202,500 annual base salary for Maryland; actual compensation depends on skills, experience, education, and market considerations.

What you will do

• Develop and improve software products throughout the software development life cycle.
• Define technical solutions and operational processes that improve efficiency.
• Identify and resolve technical risks and cross-team dependencies before they affect project delivery.
• Simplify code and infrastructure while reducing maintenance and migration costs.
• Support short-, mid-, and long-term team goals and collaborate with senior internal and external partners.
• Apply computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, problem solving, complexity analysis, and data structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience with system design and object-oriented development.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies and data storage technologies.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
• Experience with test automation, unit testing, and software security.
