Engineer, Tooling Development Engineering

What you will do

• Develop, design, and deploy manual and automated tooling for HDA/HSA assembly from clean room through backend operations.
• Coordinate outsourced vendor projects, tooling schedules, NPL lines, and new product development tooling activities.
• Support program scoping, DFM studies, QFD, TCTF, FEA, DOE, tolerance studies, GR&R, simulations, and engineering calculations.
• Prepare design reviews, TDRD-FMEA, concept and final design reviews, technical drawings, schematics, BOMs, spare-parts lists, setup instructions, and preventive-maintenance documentation.
• Manage tooling budgets, procurement, vendor selection, shipments, asset transfers, ROI calculations, and replication planning.
• Provide first-level support, training, and supervision for technicians while improving tooling KPIs and supporting HDA/HSA assembly technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• More than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong ability to use SolidWorks for tooling and fixture design for product qualification, prototyping, and automation systems.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T and its application in tooling fixture design, including the ability to train others.
• Knowledge of technical, analytical, and mechanical analysis, with strong problem-solving and data-analysis skills.
• Good spoken and written English and the ability to analyze HSA/HDA tooling and equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
