Location: Hybrid in Long Beach, CA, or Denver, CO; at least 3 days per week onsite, with additional onsite work required for classified systems. Occasional travel to government sites, classified facilities, launch facilities, or partner locations may be required.
Base salary: $170,000–$250,000 in Denver or $180,000–$260,000 in Long Beach, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Deploy, configure, and operate terrestrial network infrastructure across classified on-premise locations in the United States.
- Implement AWS GovCloud and IL-6+ classified cloud networking, including VPCs, transit gateways, route tables, security groups, and network access controls.
- Connect classified cloud environments, U.S. Government networks, and physical endpoint networks across distributed sites.
- Implement boundary protection, traffic segmentation, filtering, encrypted communications, DISA STIGs, and network controls supporting RMF and ATO activities.
- Deploy and troubleshoot NSA Type 1 cryptographic devices, including KG-175 TACLANE and KG-142 units, while managing KEYMAT, DTA transfers, and CCI documentation.
- Maintain network diagrams, as-built configurations, security artifacts, and hardware records while collaborating with ISSEs, cloud engineers, security architects, and government partners.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required at start, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
- 10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with classified DoD or IC networks, including TS/SCI and special access environments.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification, such as CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent.
- Expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, switching, VLANs, subnetting, QoS, and network boundary protection.
- Experience with DoD Approved Products Lists, Trade Agreements Act compliance, NIST SP 800-53, STIG implementation, RMF, and ATO activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance and professional networking certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
- Experience with AWS or Azure IL-6+ environments, classified ground station or satellite Command and Control networks, and Cross Domain Solutions.
- Experience operating NSA Type 1 cryptographic devices and familiarity with KEYMAT, DTA transfers, and CCI inventory procedures.
- Knowledge of zero trust network architectures, software-defined networking, network automation, and continuous authorization.
