Facility Project Manager (Biotech)

Location: Piscataway, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, depending on experience and skill set.

What you will do

• Coordinate and oversee facility outside services, engineering, and construction capital projects for GXP and non-GMP facilities in New Jersey.
• Manage multiple projects ranging from $50,000 to $30 million, including schedules, staffing needs, action items, budgets, purchase orders, contracts, and change orders.
• Bid, select, and manage engineering firms, construction contractors, equipment vendors, CQV consultants, and service providers.
• Ensure project deliverables meet user requirements and support on-time, under-budget completion.
• Prepare project updates and budget-release presentations for senior management while building relationships with landlords, contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
• Manage controlled drawings, physical verification, Gemba Walk observations, site security clearances, badges, and security incident resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience managing facility and construction projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with project management and engineering practices, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiations.
• Ability to negotiate with landlords, government regulatory offices, and engineering or construction contractors.
• Understanding of plasmid DNA and viral vector manufacturing processes in the cell and gene therapy industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is highly desired.
