AI / Extraction Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Fully remote within the United States for candidates eligible to complete Form I-9. Travel is required for team and department offsites, and an in-person interview may be required.

Salary: $165,000–$185,000 base per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build, train, and improve machine-learning models for production use.
• Develop evaluation and feedback loops that improve model performance over time.
• Build tooling to measure, monitor, and track model quality.
• Evaluate new models and techniques and bring the strongest approaches into production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver ML-powered capabilities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of applied ML or LLM engineering experience in production.
• Strong Python skills and experience taking models from prototype to reliable production systems.
• Hands-on experience with model fine-tuning and rigorous evaluation.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Cursor, with the ability to adopt emerging tools.
• Eligibility to complete Form I-9 for employment in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with applied NLP, computer vision, or multimodal models.
• Experience with MLOps and model-monitoring tooling.
• Background in fintech or financial data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
